Goals for this session:

  • To briefly affirm a common sense of what a business strategy is and how strategic planning is used
  • To examine the common causes that lead to, on average, only a 63% success rate in achieving the promised results of any strategic plan and where things generally go wrong in the execution of the plan
  • To understand basic performance management tools and systems.
  • To understand the congruence model of execution in an organization
  • To apply frameworks for common execution foibles and areas of risk to their own strategic plans in their organization.
  • To apply frameworks for common execution foibles and areas of risk to a business case study.
