In support of the health and safety of our students and the Mason community, all Mason Professional Education courses are being delivered in virtual formats through May 2021. We are fully operational and ready to support your training and development needs. Courses listed on our website will begin on their scheduled start date in a virtual format. 

We have carefully formatted and adjusted courses to maximize the innovative course content in an online learning environment. Our instructors are uniquely equipped to support student interaction levels and are working to ensure the quality of instruction in a variety of virtual formats as well as the connectivity of a supportive class environment. 

Online Course & Certificate Formats
  • Live, Virtual Instructor-Led Courses: These courses are led in “real time” where students login to the virtual class on a platform, such as Zoom. The instructor teaches them live just as they would if they were in the classroom. These classes can include group work, breakout sessions among other interactive components. They may also include coursework outside of class.
  • Self-Guided (Asynchronous) Courses: Instructors provide materials, lectures, videos, tests, and assignments that can be accessed at any time. Students may be given a timeframe – such as a one-week window – during which they need to connect at least once or twice and possibly turn in assignments.
